Prince Raju, an engineering student from Kochi, has received a scholarship constituted by the Internet giant Google in memory of Venkat Panchapakesan, head of the engineering wing in YouTube, who passed away after a battle with cancer.
Under the scholarship, Prince will get a financial award of $750 towards tuition and education related expenses. He will also get an opportunity to visit the YouTube headquarters in San Bruno, California.
The Venkat Panchapakesan Memoria Scholarship is awarded every year to six Computer Science students from India.
Prince is a final year Computer Science student of Mar Athanasius Engineering College in Kothamangalam. He is the son of K P Raju and Susan.
