When police spotted Salu's body in the Irachipalam canal. Photo: Aravind Bala/OnmanoramaKumily: The body of a housewife, who was strangled to death by her paramour, was found in a decomposed state in Irachipalam canal near Kerala-Tamil Nadu border Monday.
Body of 42-year-old Salu, wife of Babu from Konnathady at Kumily in Idukki district, was thrown into the canal which carries water from Mullaperiyar Dam to Tamil Nadu.
The police officials had to close the spillway shutters of the dam to launch a search for the body.
