Kochi: Saritha S. Nair, prime accused in the solar scam, Wednesday produced pen drives and CDs before a commission probing the scam, claiming it contained 'evidence' linking top state politicians with the scandal.
With assembly elections only five days away, Saritha said she submitted the evidence to the Justice B. Sivarajan Commission, probing the scam.
Speaking to reporters after producing the documents before the panel, she said more digital proof would be produced before the panel on Friday, May 13.
"I have submitted two pen drives and documents to the commission that will substantiate all what I have written in my letter, aired by Asianet channel, which names top Congress leaders," Saritha told reporters.
“The pen drives contain three-hour-long footage which shows a conspiracy to sabotage the solar case,” Saritha said.

Saritha dismissed chief minister Oommen Chandy's claim that he has no connection with her and the scam. "The evidence I produced before the Commission will prove the role of some top politicians, including the chief minister, in the scam," she said.
Coming down heavily on Chandy, Saritha said, "If the Congress-led UDF government returns to power, I know it's going to be tough for me. Oommen Chandy is an eliminator and the UDF government will behave with revenge in their mind."
"And now that I have given these digital evidences, they will say this is an election stunt," she added.
Chandy and Congress Lok Sabha member K.C. Venugopal have already filed a defamation case against the news channel and Saritha.
"I was used as a tool in other deals and I played an intermediary's role in a deal that involved the land of Cochin Port Trust at Kochi," she said.
The solar scam case surfaced when Saritha Nair and her then business partner Biju Radhakrishnan were arrested in 2013 on charges of cheating numerous investors who paid money for solar panels.
Over 30 cases of cheating against Saritha and Biju are registered in various courts. Police estimate that they cheated investors to the tune of over Rs 6 crore.
While Saritha is out on bail, Biju Radhakrishnan is in jail on charges of murdering his first wife.
