Picture this. On one side, a mother grieving her daughter's sudden demise. On the other, an actor loudmouth (read Dolly Bindra), on a publicity stunt under the guise of condoling.
The first scene is shot at Kokilaben Hospital where actress Prathyusha Banerjee was admitted after the alleged suicide. After Prathyusha's death was confirmed, a dishevelled-looking Dolly speaks to the media (read the first bomb). “It is surprising that none of her family members are here, not even Rahul,” she says.
A few hours later, a not-so-popular gossip website comes up with an audio clip, featuring Dolly's telephonic conversation with Prathyusha's mother. And yes, the second scene goes like this:
Dolly: Hello auntyji, this is Dolly Bindra
(Pratyusha's mother sobbing. Words choked in her throat.)
Dolly: Haan?
Pratyusha's mom: Tell me, what are you saying (she wails, incoherently)
Dolly: What happened to Pratyusha?
Pratyusha's mom: I don't know (sobs) She was with Rahul (sobs) and in the evening, we were told that she hanged herself. I don't know what is happening (sobs)
Dolly: Hanged? Where?
Prathyusha's mom: Cries (mumbles something) she is in Kokilaben hospital now...
Dolly: Is she in Kokilaben hospital?
Prathyusha's mom: yeah
Dolly: What is the room number?
(No response)
Dolly: Auntyji... Hello...
Wow Dolly, you just stooped to a new level of low by recording your conversation with a mother mourning her child's death and selling it to some callous news website. And yeah, condolence call it was; we so believe it!
