New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to Swami Vivekananda on his 153rd birth anniversary.
"I salute the venerable Swami Vivekananda on his birth anniversary," Modi said in a statement.
Swami Vivekananda is considered to be the key figure who introduced Yoga to the world. He was born on January 12, 1863.
Swami Vivekananda was known for his historic speech at the Parliament of the World's Religions in 1893.
