The victims, Abhiraj and Ananthu Nath, both students of SVGV School, drowned on Saturday.
The victims are Sreesharan and Abel, both Class 10 students of Aryabharathi School, Omalloor.
The group was caught in the current while bathing at the Painkulam cremation ghat in the Bharathapuzha river.
A special medical team, including experts from Thrissur Medical College, oversees the treatment.
