A former Miss Kerala contestant was arrested in Mumbai with nearly 11kg of hydroponic cannabis worth over £1 million, reportedly found concealed in her luggage after arriving from Bangkok.
A Technopark employee was arrested for cultivating 70 cannabis plants in flower pots and paper trays. The initiative, part of 'Operation Toofan', aims to combat drug spread.
The accused is Abdul Naser, a native of Randathani, Malappuram.
The accused contended that the seized plants had no flowering or fruiting tops.
The police also said that both had been notorious thieves.
