Presadio Technologies Pvt Ltd had not carried out the installation of the AI cameras and setting up of control rooms, reveal documents.
Kerala's Leader of Opposition has said the tender amount of Rs 151 crore fixed by Keltron was much more than the actual cost.
The project cost which was initially pegged at Rs 151.22 crore, rose to Rs 232 crore later as the work was sub-contracted to multiple private firms by the primary bid winner, Keltron.
Trois installed the cameras in 2018 itself.
Keltron had flouted all rules by awarding a sub-contract for the project and concealing the matter.
Though the govt had clarified the same earlier, an order to this effect is now being issued because sending challans without charging penalties could lead to legal hassles.
Trois managing director T Jithesh has admitted to have functioned as the executive director of SRIT and as the director of the consortium that was formed by the Uralungal Labour Contract Co-operative Society (ULCCS) and SRIT.
Seven private companies were involved though the government had claimed its undertaking Keltron had implemented the project entirely.
