Oman opens the world’s longest zip line over water

Muscat: Oman recently launched the longest zip line over water in the world to attract adventure seekers from across the world. The grand project at Khasab Vilayat in Musandam Governate was officially inaugurated a few days ago. It is run by the Oman Tourism Development Group (OMRAN).

International-standard safety measures
The zip line, which is 1800 metres long, begins at Jabal Fit and ends at the landing point built at Athana Khasab hotel.

Visitors could enjoy the zipline ride from 9 am to 4 pm every day. Interestingly, the zipline at Khasab is also the highest in Oman. It is arranged at a height of 220 metres.

All the safety measures as per the international guidelines have been arranged here. Advanced breaking system, helmets for the riders and jackets are some of the safety features.

Other fun activities too!
There are a couple of other fun-filled activities too that visitors can enjoy here. Padel courts (a version of tennis played on a small courts), canoying, rock-climbing and caving are a few of the other adventure activity options available at the centre.
