Thiruvananthapuram: Students in the state find themselves in a spot as the date of the Kerala engineering and pharmacy entrance examination is clashing with two other exams.

The Kerala entrance, NATA first test and the HSEE entrance exam of the IIT Madras are all scheduled to be held on the same date - June 12.

The National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) is conducted for those seeking admission to undergraduate programmes in architecture (BArch). The first NATA test is on June 12, while the other two tests are on July 3 and 24.

A stipulated minimum score of NATA is required for BArch admission at any institute in the country, except the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and National Institutes Of Technology (NIT). For those attempting more than one test, the best score will be considered for the admission.

Several candidates who will be appearing for the Kerala entrance are seeking seeking Barch too.

The Humanities and Social Sciences Entrance Examination (HSEE) entrance test, conducted by the IIT Madras, is also on June 12.

The HSEE is conducted for admission to the 5-year integrated MA English/Development Studies programme at the IIT Madras.

If the date of the Kerala entrance is not rescheduled, the students in Kerala will miss out on the opportunity to appear for the HSEE and the first test of NATA.
