The first stage of exams for appointment to the Public Service Commission’s posts that require plus two as the minimum qualification are done. Even though the questions looked easier at a glance, they were of a high standard. A proper picture of the general nature of the exam could be analysed only after the remaining stages are over.
The questions from general knowledge, maths and English maintained a high standard. Even the average students would find it difficult to score 20 – 25 marks in these sections. The candidates can only hope that the cut-off marks for qualification would be reduced.
Based on textbooks
There were questions from plus one and plus two political science, history and economics textbooks. Interestingly, some questions were directly copied from the Saksharatha Mission’s textbooks. Besides, questions came from class ten science textbooks too.
The statement questions and match the pairs were as expected. However, these questions require more time to answer. Those who have trained well could find the answers pretty quickly. Meanwhile, some candidates got everything wrong as they got stressed. The candidates could score at least 12 marks from maths and mental ability section.
Tricky questions
The questions to identify the right or wrong statements were pretty tricky. Underlining the significant words while reading the questions would help you avoid confusion. Meanwhile, one should also practise skipping the questions that are unfamiliar or cannot reach a logical conclusion.
