Thrissur: The wait for higher secondary Plus-Two certificates is over. The all-important document which was delayed for a fortnight would be issued from Monday, July 10, onwards.

School principals should collect the certificates from the central distribution centres in each district. The students can then collect them from the respective schools.

Earlier, the certificates were delivered directly at the schools. However, this time, the certificates would be brought to a centralised distribution centre in the districts. Principals have been asked to come to these centres in person in order to collect the certificates.

Principals often struggle to verify each certificate as often 200 certificates are marked for each school.

Even though the certificates are usually distributed within a month after declaration of results, this year, it was delayed for almost two weeks.

The higher-secondary examinations were conducted in March and results were declared on May 25. But the printing and distribution of certificates could not be started immediately.

With the delay in issuing the certificates, students, especially those seeking admissions abroad, were tense as the originals have to be submitted at overseas universities. Meanwhile, the admission process had already begun in many universities in India and abroad.
