Watch Pada, Hey Sinamika on OTT: Here are movies ready for streaming online in April

While the movie Pada has already been released on OTT, Naradan and Veyil will be out digitally out in the first week of April.

Looks like April is going to be an absolute visual feast for cinema goers! ‘Bheeshma Parvam’ which has already created box office history will be released on Hot star this Friday. While much-awaited biggies like ‘KGF 2 and ‘Beast’ are getting ready for festival release. While Prabhas film ‘Radhe Shyam’ has already been released on Amazon Prime, Thirumali’, ‘Member Rameshan’, ‘Naradhan, and ‘Veyil’ will all be out digitally during the first week of April.

Pada, Naradan and Veyil – can be viewed on Amazon Prime. While Kunchacko Boban-starrer Pada has already been released on March 30, Tovino Thomas starrer-Naradan's OTT release is on April 8 and Shane Nigam-starrer Veyil from April 15.

Bheeshma Parvam’ 

Even as the Mammootty-Amal Neerad multi-starrer blockbuster is reaping rich dividends at the box office, the film will be making its digital premiere this Friday on Hotstar. Still running in packed houses, the film which was hailed by critics as a fabulous retelling of the ‘Godfather’ and ‘Mahabharata’ also boasts of an eminent lineup of actors like Nadia Moidu, Lena, Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, Srinda, Shine Tom Chacko, Farhaan Fasil, Dileesh Pothan, Anasuya Baradwaj, and Mala Parvathy. Sushin Shyam’s rousing musical score is one of its highlights along with Anend C Chandran’s cinematography. Set in the late 80s in Fort Kochi, the film which revolves around Micheal Anjootti and his family can be touted as a family drama. The movie is on Hotstar.

Radhe Syam’

Ever since the ‘Bahubali’ series, Telugu superstar Prabhas is a favourite for Malayalees. ‘Radhe Syam’ which was simultaneously released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam has already premiered on Amazon Prime. Co-starring Pooja Hegde the film directed by Radhakrishna Kumar is a period romance in which Prabhas plays a famous palmist who falls in love with Dr Prerana. Sreekar Prasad is the editor.

Pada

Written and directed by Kamal KM, the crime and drama thriller features Kunchacko Boban, Joju George, Vinayakan, and Dileesh Pothan. Pada raises the seminal question of land and the displacement of indigenous communities. All the governments that have ruled the nation made laws that denied the indigenous people their way of life and often their land, protecting crony capitalist interests. The film revisits a real-life episode of dissent in the 90s, which thrust the spotlight on this issue. The movie is streaming on Amazon Prime.

Naradan

Directed by Aashiq Abu, the film features Tovino Thomas, Anna Ben, Sharafudheen, and Vijayaraghavan in main roles. Naradan pans the dramatic journey of Chandraprakash, an upcoming journalist of News Malayalam. The protagonist is a talk show host and television news anchor with a huge audience appeal. He is under pressure for doing stories that increase channel's rating from his editors and bosses. When a fellow journalist, Pradeep does a new story and lands a job at News Malayalam, Chandraprakash sheds his own moral principles and focuses on ruthlessly racing to the top. The movie releases on Amazon Prime on April 8.

Veyil

Directed by Sarath Menon, the film features Shane Nigam, Shine Tom Chacko and Suraj Venjaramoodu. The story is about Sidhu and Karthi who live with their mother. As It revolves around how, as a family, they face life and deal with all the challenges thrown at them, highlighting the complexities of relationships. The move will start streaming on Amazon Prime from April 15. 

Hey Sinamika’

Dulquer Salmaan’s Tamil film ‘Hey Sinamika’, co-starring Aditi Rao Hydari and Kajal Aggarwal marks the directorial debut of veteran dance master Vrinda. Govind Vasantha’s songs are already chartbusters. It’s a romantic comedy in which Dulquer plays RJ Yaazhan who is married to Mouna and how their relationship gets stormy with the intervention of a therapist. The film has already been released on Netflix.

Thirimali’ on Manorama Max

Directed by Rajeev Shetty, this adventure comedy is placed in Nepal and features Bibin George, Dharmajan, Johny Antony and Reshma Rajan in leading roles. A lot of actors from Nepal have acted in this film. ‘Thirumali’ is now streaming on Manorama Max.

Member Rameshan’ 

Another interesting OTT release would be the Arjun Ashokan starrer ‘Member Ashokan 9am Ward.’ Directed by Aby Treesa Paul and Anto Jose Pereira, the film revolves around Rameshan, a house painter who is forced to contest the ward elections. Other actors include Chemban Vinod, Johny Antony, Sabareesh Varma, Sabu Mon, Gayatri Ashok, Mamukoya and Indrans. The movie is streaming on Zee 5. 

Puzhu’ all set for a direct OTT release

Another much-awaited film that will be streamed directly on Sony Liv is the Mammootty starrer ‘Puzhu’, directed by Ratheena Pt (who makes her debut). Written by Harshad, Sharfu and Suhas, the film is said to be a crime thriller. The film might be a Vishu release. There are rumours that the Mohanlal-Jeethu Joseph film ‘12th Man’ will also be a direct OTT release.

There is Vijay’s ‘Beast’ on April 13th and KGF 2 on April 14th for those who would rather catch all the action on the big screen. Directed and written by Nelson, ‘Beast’ is said to be a comedy action thriller in which Pooja Hegde plays the female lead. KGF chapter 2 is a sequel to KGF Chapter 1 (2018) and is a period action drama, written and directed by Prashant Neel, headlining Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Srinidhi Shetty and Prakash Raj. Reportedly ‘KGF Chapter 1’ collected 25 crores worldwide on day 1 and is still considered as the fastest Kannada film to gross 50 crores.
