The movies that come out with a 'new generation' tag are mindless, director Adoor Gopalakrishnan said in New Delhi on Tuesday.

“There are youngsters capable of making quality films that do not fit the ‘new generation’ bill. Some of their films were highly appreciated. I have always stood for encouraging such movies,” the critically acclaimed director said at a face-to-face programme on the sidelines of a drama festival organised by the National School of Drama.
