Actor Asif Ali's house attacked Asif Ali

The house of Malayalm actor Asif Ali was attacked by a group of unidentified people on Tuesday morning.

Although the intention behind the attack is not known, Asif's father, Ali, told media that the attack was the result of a political rivalry.

Sources say the windowpanes of the house have been shattered due to stone pelting.

Asif Ali's father M P Shoukath Ali was a local secretary of the CPM. After being Thodupuzha municipal chairman twice, Shoukath Ali left CPM in 1995. In spite of joining hands with Muslim League after that, he soon rejoined CPM in 2014.

Currently, Shoukath Ali is a board member of Urban Co-operative Bank and is also holding the charge of president of home construction co-operative society.

Asif Ali is the eldest son of Shoukath Ali.

During the incident, Asif was not at house. The actor is currently gearing up for the release of Anuraga Karikkin Vellam with Biju Menon.
