It was Sudhir's egoistic nature which paved way for the separation, according to a close source to DivyaActress-dancer Divya Unni recently announced her separation with husband Dr. Sudhir Shekharan. Rumours had claimed that Divya decided to part ways with Sudhir because of an extramarital affair he had. But now, a source close to the actress has revealed that ego issues were the actual reason behind the couple's divorce.
According to latest reports, it was Sudhir's egoistic nature which paved way for the separation. Reportedly, Divya's interest towards dance and acting hadn't gone well with Sudhir. The actress had opened dance schools in Houston, Texas and had plans to establish herself as a prominent dance teacher.
But her husband was not happy with Divya's career interests and wanted her to stay at home and look after the kids. Sudhir allegedly asked the actress to shut down her dance school, but she refused to do so.
However, Sudhir never backed off from his stand and refused to listen to both families, who tried hard to convince him.
Later, Divya decided to end the 14-year-old marriage and moved back to Kochi along with her children Arjun and Meenakshi.
