Popular distribution company Global United Media, known for releasing Baahubali and The Jungle Book in Kerala, has now bagged the distribution rights of Baahubali 2 in God's Own Country.
The Kerala rights of the SS Rajamouli directorial has been reportedly bagged by Global United Media for 10.5 crore, beating Kabali's record of 7.5 crore. Producer Antony Perumbavoor's Aashirvad Cinemas, along with Mohanlal's brother-in-law Suresh Balaji, had inked the deal to bag the Kerala territory rights of Kabali.
Baahubali 2, starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Tamannaah Bhatia and Anushka Shetty in the lead roles, is currently filming the climax portion, which will be shot over a period of 10 weeks at the Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad.
If everything goes according to plan, Baahubali 2 will hit the screens on 18 April 2017.
