Rajeev Ravi's upcoming movie Kammatipaadam with Dulquer Salmaan in the lead has bagged 'A' certificate from the regional censor board on Wednesday.
The movie based on small time thug who is looking to make it big in the criminal world has been certified the 'A' category for the excessive portrayal of violence and action scenes. The censor board has also chopped off some major sequences of the movie, due to the same.
The movie which was 2.45 hours long initially, has been reduced to approximately 2 hours 30 minutes.
Kammatipaadam scripted by P Balachandran and produced by Prem Menon under the banner of Global United Media is scheduled to hit nearly 150 screens across Kerala on May 20.
Earlier, the official trailer had gone viral on social media, with more than 2.1 lakh views in less than 17 hours of its release on the video-sharing website.
The movie also has Vinayakan, Rasika Dugal, Vinay Forrt, Shine Tom Chacko, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Alencier Ley and P Balachandran in pivotal roles.
