The Onam fervor is in the air and you just cannot escape it if you happen to be in Kerala or have a Keralite near you.
The coded walls of the Infopark in Kochi could do little to keep the spirit of Onam away. And what did we see there?
A group of techie men, who ditched their drab formals, and assembled in the office for a round of Thiruvathira performance. They were seen literally swaying to the tunes of 'Parvanendu mukhi' song from the famous Malayalam movie Parinayam. Neatly choreographed and beautifully performed, their dance invited huge cheers of awe and encouragement from the crowd that had both men and women viewers.
We were also impressed by the costume of our dancing men. They looked fabulous in long white kurta and maroon-colored mundu. Some of them were seen trying their best to wipe that cheeky smile from their faces as they put their best foot forward.
The video has already got the thumbs up from YouTube viewers. Well, this is not the first thiruvathira performance by men, but that doesn't take away the effort and beauty of this one.
Kudos to Kerala techies and Happy Onam!
