Kochi: Veteran actress K.P.A.C. Lalitha has come out supporting her son and actor-director Sidharth Bharathan, whose name has cropped up in the actress attack case.
''People are only trying to defame us. It's saddening when I hear that my son is being accused in this case. These are just baseless allegations,'' she said.

"If someone is guilty he/she should be severely punished. If my son is in the wrong, you can punish him,” an emotional Lalitha said during a protest meet organized by All India Democratic Women's Association.

"It's almost been a week after the incident and still we do not know who are behind this. But that doesn’t mean that the innocent can be blamed,” she added.
