Malayalam actor Mohanlal on Monday joined the Independence Day celebrations with a unique posture.
The actor, who has on several occasions voiced his patriotic views and respect for soldiers, on Monday shared a photo featuring him in the Indian army's uniform.
The actor who was in 2009 awarded the honorary rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Territorial Army of India is seen offering a salute in the photo with the the Tricolor in the backdrop.
"Happy Independence Day," Mohanlal wrote, in the tweet which was re-tweeted and favorited by many of his fans.
The actor also shared the Independence Day celebration pics along with director Jibu Jacob.
India on Monday celebrated her 70th Independence Day.
