MACTA Federation president and director Baiju Kotarakkara has alleged that it was upon Mohanlal's insistence that Vinayan was kept away from Kalabhavan Mani's commemoration, which was held at Chalakudy on Sunday.
“The event didn't see the director who gave 13 best movies for Kalabhavan Mani. Those who couldn't even associate with Mani found a place at the event," said Baiju Kotarakkara.

Earlier, director Vinayan revealed to Onmanorama that a 'superstar' was the reason behind his absence at the condolence meeting.
