A poster of 'Udta Punjab'.Who is not excited when spirited performances of our favourite actors combine with a heady mix of music and fun? Looks like Udta Punjab is just that, thanks to its neatly cut trailer which came out on Friday.
Going by the 3 minute 9 second-long trailer, the movie, starring Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Diljit Dosanjh in the lead roles, will be the flick to watch out for. The trailer tells us that these four characters are connected by two factors – Punjab and drugs.
Shahid is Tommy Singh, a crazy, drug-addict rockstar; Alia Bhatt is the deglammed village girl Kumari Pinky; Kareena Kapoor is Dr Preet Sahani and Punjabi star Diljit Dosanjh is Sartaj Singh Dhillon, a police officer.
The trailer, with the actors seen at their best, leaves us wanting more. The fact that director Abhishek Chaubey, who had made Ishqiya and Dedh Ishqiya, is helming the project lifts our expectations further high.
Adding to it, we have the brilliant Amit Trivedi as the composer and the bits used in the trailer are adrenaline-pumping. And the cinematographer? Kerala's own Rajeev Ravi.
