Kottayam: In a bizarre accident a panchayat president was bitten by a python at Thidanadu in Kottayam district on Wednesday.
Thidanadu panchayat president Viji George was bitten by the python while he was helping the forest department personnel involved in rescuing the reptile.
Viji has been admitted to a private hospital at Cherpunkal.
