Perumbavoor: The plane crash in Russia on Saturday was the end of a beautiful dream. Shyam and Anju had just taken off to a life together when the FlyDubai aircraft burst into flames at the Rostov-on-Don airport.
The couple were returning to work after a two-month holiday in Kerala. They got married on November 2, 2014. Anju was already working in the Sultan Ayurveda Spa as a Panchakarma therapist for four years. She had worked in Delhi before that.

Shyam, who was working at an IT firm in Technopark in Thiruvananthapuram, switched his career and got himself trained in ayurveda. He got an offer in the spa in Rostov-on-Don.
The couple visited their homes in Kerala only twice after they got married. This time, both of them attended the ‘Garudan Thookkam’ ritual held in the Panachiyam Devi Temple near Anju’s house last Sunday. They flew back to Russia through Dubai after that.
Both Shyam and Anju are remembered fondly around their houses. Shyam’s father, a carpenter, is bedridden for two years after he suffered a stroke.
