Illustration for representation only.Kollam: A Kerala woman was hospitalized in critical condition Sunday after her husband threw acid at her.
Rathi Devi (40) of Puthoor in Kollam suffered severe burn injuries on her eyes and below waist after her husband Sekharan Pillai (45) threw acid at her during a heated argument over family issues.
Police said that the husband went into hiding after the incident.
Rathi Devi has been admitted to Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital.
