"There is no doubt about that. There is nothing for me to be ashamed of. My father has never been sentenced to jail for corruption. My father was in jail after taking part in the freedom struggle. Only Ganesh Kumar in the UDF government had supported Team Solar, Shibu said.
On Saturday, Ganesh had alleged that Shibu Baby John invested money to ensure the former's defeat in the recently concluded state assembly elections. "Shibu Baby John has personal angst against me. Arrogance and corruption were the reasons behind the drubbing of the UDF in Chavara constituency. Shibu is a cheat. It is false charge that I instigated solar panel scam accused Saritha Nair to raise allegations against Shibu. He must have made such a statement out of suspicion that I was behind fielding Vijayan Pillai against him in Chavara," Ganesh had said on Saturday.
Deposing earlier before the G. Sivarajan commission, that is probing the solar scam, Shibu had stated that it was Ganesh who prompted Saritha Nair to drag the former into the solar scam.
