Kochi: Manikandan, one of the accused in the attack on a popular Malayalam film actress, told police Tuesday that the crime was planned completely Sunil Kumar aka Pulsar Suni, the prime suspect, who is yet to be arrested.
Manikandan, who was picked up by police from Palakkad Monday night, told the police that he came to know of Suni's plan only when when they entered the actress' car in the night of February 17, Manorama News reported.
"Pulsar Suni called me saying there is a 'work'. I thought it was to beat up someone. But I realized the plan was to attack the actress only later. After we made our way into her car, I did not attack the actress," Maniakandan told the police during interrogation, sources said.
In his primary statement, Manikandan also said he has no idea on who all are behind Suni.
