Ananthapuri Express train canceled following stir against jallikattu banChennai: The Ananthapuri Express (16723/16724) train service scheduled on Sunday from Chennai Egmore to Thiruvananthapuram and back has been canceled following the ongoing protests in Chennai against jallikattu ban.
The Thiruvananthapuram Mail (12623), which is scheduled for departure from Chennai at 7.45 pm on Sunday, has been delayed by over four hours and will start the journey by 11.55 pm.
The Alappuzha Express (22639), which is scheduled to start from Chennai at 8.45 pm, has been delayed by more than two hours and will depart at 11 pm.
Meanwhile, the Guruvayur-Chennai Egmore Express (16128) will wind up service at Virudhunagar.
