Kochi: In a shocking incident, an Angamaly native has filed a case in the State Human Rights Commission stating that her husband and his friends were sexually abusing her 17-year-old daughter.
Commission acting chairman P. Mohandas has directed the district police chief to immediately 'take custody' of the girl and ensure her safety.
In her complaint, the woman said her abusive husband and some friends, policemen, had been brutally torturing her and the teenage girl.
The commission directed registration of a case under provisions of the Prevention of Domestic Violence Act and Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act.
