This year, the admission process has changed in the universities as they have adopted Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for admissions to UG courses. While the Delhi University earlier admitted students based on 12th class marks, Jamia Millia Islamia and Jawaharlal Nehru University used to have separate entrance tests for admissions to UG courses.
The test will be conducted at all the district centres in January. However, the date of exam would be announced later.
The test is for admission to 13 centres of the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences; Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute of Medical Sciences and Technology in Thiruvananthapuram; Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, Puducherry; Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh; and National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences, Bengaluru.
The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) in Britain has announced that those who had studied nursing in the medium of English and had worked in various posts in the healthcare sector in Britain, for at least a year, can now become staff nurse without OET/IELTS scores.
