The varsity on Wednesday announced the first list of seat allocations with the names of over 80,000 candidates for admission to various undergraduate programmes. The students have been given a three-day window from October 19 to October 21 to "accept" the allocated seat.
The provisional allotment list would be published on 24 October and the final list would be out on 26 October.

Times Higher Education’s (THE) World University Rankings 2023 has placed the IISc in the 251-300 category. Last year they were in the 301-350 rankings.
The children of those who have been insured from ESIC colleges will be allotted seats by MCC without considering the State quota.
