Software will be bought to regulate student concessions and free passes. The free passes issued to the disabled and freedom fighters will be reviewed since it has been found that they are being misused.
KSRTC clarified that it would require the government's financial assistance to clear the employees' second instalment.
The direction came after employees of KSRTC approached the court opposing the move. Justice Sathish Nainan ordered KSRTC to submit an explanation before March 1.
The amount was sought for paying the salaries, honorarium, surrender of earned leave, Provident Fund loan, and travel allowance of the employees and members of the commission.
It has been revealed that even after issuing a directive to implement punching in all state government offices having more than 20 employees by March 31 this year, only 18 of the around 100 departments have done so, till now.
The first instalment will be paid on the fifth of every month using the money in Corporation's accounts and by availing of the overdraft facility.
The High Court has directed that the salary must be distributed by Wednesday.
KSRTC has not paid this month's salary as yet. This is despite the Chief Minister's assurance that the salary would be paid before the 5th of every month.
The Government has been providing aid of Rs 50 crore to KSRTC since July 2022.
The total amount needed to clear the arrears is Rs 2123.04 crore, which has to be shared equally by the state and the Centre.
