This is the second attack on an Indian-owned vessel by the Houthi rebels. A day ago, a chemical tanker named Chem Pluto fell victim to a drone attack off the Gujarat coast in the Arabian Sea.
The Houthis said they had seized a ship in that area but described it as Israeli.
The workers used a gas cutter while attending to certain repair work near the engine of the vessel.
Minister Ahammad Devarkovil said the permit for the workers of the ship was delayed due to technical reasons.
On October 15, a grand reception will be accorded to 'Zhen Hua 15', owned by Shanghai Zhen Hua Heavy Industries Company Limited, a Chinese state-owned multinational engineering company.
