People continued to protest at Nattassery in Kottayam and Mamala in Ernakulam as K-Rail and revenue officials tried to plant marker stones in the plots falling in the proposed alignment for the mega project.

Pinarayi claimed after the meeting that the PM was sympathetic to the state's demand for sanctioning the K-Rail project.
K-Rail Limited is maintaining that it has neither discussed nor given any direction about the manner in which markings are to be made as part of the survey.
The Left Democratic Front government in Kerala is now trying for the Centre's approval for the Detailed Project Report (DPR). Land acquistion will be possible only after the Centre approves the DPR.
