Political wrangling over new train intensifies; can't use the new train to sell griddle cake, CPM leader adds
A second Vande Bharat Express too is in the offing as the authorities intend to use the eight cars that would be hived off from the rake if the ridership for the initial service on the anticipated Thiruvananthapuram-Kozhikode route is below expectation.
A rake comprising 16 coaches will be utilised for the service, instead of the eight compartments suggested earlier.
The Vande Bharat Express can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 52 seconds.
