Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin has announced the setting up of a special team led by the field director of Srivilliputhur-Megamalai Tiger Reserve to capture Arikomban.
The Chief Minister said a team of experienced forest officials has been formed under the field director of Srivilliputhur Megamalai Tiger Reserve to nab the wild tusker.
The makers had recently announced a film on the tusker, the shoot of which is expected to start soon

Wild elephant reportedly moving to Cumbum Mettu area traversing coconut groves that run parallel to roads.
The Forest Department said that the animal was chased back to the forest by firing at the sky and making noise.
Six days ago, the wild tusker entered the forests of Kerala from Tamil Nadu.
Additional Director General of Police M R Ajit Kumar is leading the investigation.
Arikomban was last spotted at the Senior Oda area in the Periyar Reserve.
