The state recently got its eighth Vande Bharat train.
The train was quite popular before its service was terminated on August 26.
The new Vande Bharat will run services on all days except Wednesdays.
The Ernakulam – Bengaluru Vande Bharat hasn’t resumed apparently to allow a platform for the new Cantonment – Madurai Vande Bharat.
If the service isn’t resumed, then the crises will worsen in this route during the upcoming Onam season.
If approved, the train will start from the Bengaluru Cantonment station at 6.30 am instead of 5.30 am.
Experts say that Palaruvi could be halted at Tripunithura if small changes are made to the schedule.
The Palaruvi Express, scheduled to depart Mulanthuruthy at 7.52 am, was intercepted to accommodate the Vandebharat Express.
Vande Bharat which departs from Cantonment at 5.30 am on Thursdays, Saturdays and Mondays, reaches Ernakulam at 2.20 pm.
The complaint added that Padmakumar refused to show respect even after being informed of Shamseer’s official position.
