The Kerala government has said it will, under no circumstances, approve of the Centre's policy to prioritise parochial vested interests over academic concerns.
The residential camps will have batches consisting of 40 members each.
The NCERT, however, claims that no curriculum trimming has taken place this year and the syllabus was rationalised in June, last year.
This is one of the many changes incorporated in the revised syllabi for various classes that will be reflected in the books of the upcoming academic session 2023-24.
The revised ones, which will be in accordance with the new National Education Policy (NEP), will be developed as per the National Curriculum Framework (NCF).
The draft guideline, aimed at creating a safe and supportive school climate for transgender students, exhorts teachers and school staff to take appropriate measures to achieve the objectives.
This will help in instilling self-esteem and self-confidence among all, particularly girls, it had said.
The ‘Focus Area’ system refers to setting a fixed percentage of the total portion to be studied and preparing question papers based only on this.
The popular scholarship programme is funded by the Ministry of Education and hosted by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT).
