Thiruvananthapuram and Kottayam districts were having the most number of cases and the district authorities were instructed to conduct more tests.
The three districts are Thiruvananthapuram, Kottayam and Ernakulam.
A total of 42.9 lakh students would head to the school campuses on June 1. Arrangements would be made for administering the Covid vaccine to all eligible students at schools during the first two weeks.
The minister directed the officials to intensify the checks on hotels and restaurants.
