CLAT 2021 postponed to June 13

Law School

CLAT 2021 has been postponed by one month. It will be now held on June 13 instead of May 9 as was initially announced.

The change in examination date has been decided to avoid a clash with CBSE's examination schedule.

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is conducted for the five-year undergraduate programme at the 22 law universities across the country. The National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS) in Kochi and the law universities in Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Tiruchirappalli are also among them.

Students, who have cleared class 12 with a minimum of 45 per cent marks, can apply.  Students who are currently in class 12 can also apply. Those in the SC/ST category need to have a minimum of 40 per cent marks. There is no upper age limit.

Online applications for the common entrance test started on January 1 and can be submitted till March 31 on the official website clatconsortiumofnlu.ac.in.

CLAT 2021 would be a 2-hour paper. Candidates would have to attempt 150 objective type questions in English, current affairs, legal reasoning, quantitative techniques and logical reasoning.
