SSLC exams begin; Over 4 lakh students appear at 2,960 centres

Thiruvananthapuram: Over 4 lakh students are appearing for the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examinations, which began at 9:30 am on Thursday. 

Kerala Education Minister V Sivankutty had earlier announced that the preparations for the exams scheduled from March 9 to 29 were complete.

The number of examination centres for SSLC exams is 2,960.

In all 4,19,362 regular students and 192 private students will sit for the SSLC exams. The number of boys and girls are 2,13,801 and 2,00,561, respectively.

The evaluation of answer papers will be held in 70 camps across Kerala by 18,000 teachers from April 3 to April 24.

The result of the SSLC exams will be declared in the second week of May.
