New Delhi: A petition has been filed in the Delhi High Court seeking relaxation in stipulations related to the Joint Entrance Examination – Advanced (JEE-Advanced) held for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology or IITs.

The petition filed by 67 students requests to change the condition that the candidates can appear for the exam only twice in a row for two years.

The petitioners are those who appeared for the exam only once in 2021 and 2022 or couldn’t write the exam during these two years. Their demand is to allow them to write the exam this year.

They said that against the pandemic background, the concession was allowed for the 2020 batch but denied to the 2021 and 2022 batches. The petition will come up again for hearing on April 17.
