Students from the UK visit Calicut University

Kozhikode: Students from Liverpool John Moores (LJM) University, UK, have visited Calicut University. 

The students, who are visiting India as part of the international summer school organised by the UK-based International Skill Development Corporation (ISDC), held a meeting with Higher Education Minister Dr R Bindu at the university.

The minister briefed steps taken by the state government in the higher education sector and the achievements made in the same.

The students, who spent two days at Calicut University, interacted with the Vice Chancellor, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Registrar, administrative officials, and students and teachers of journalism and mass communication, history, and folklore departments. They also visited the radio station at the university, botanical garden, and university park.

The students have visited leading educational institutions in the state as part of the two-week-long summer school. ISDC is organising the international summer school to promote knowledge exchange at the international level and provide students an opportunity to understand various cultures.
