Kozhikode: The students, who received seats in the second round of allotment for Ayurveda, Homeo, Siddha, Pharmacy, and allied undergraduate courses in Kerala, have not been allotted sufficient joining time.

While the list of the second allotment was published by the authorities at 4 pm on Tuesday, the deadline to join is 4 pm on Thursday. Students point out that there is not sufficient time to collect their documents from the institution they joined during the first allotment, travel to the place where the college was allotted in the second round, and carry out admission procedures there.

Degree courses in Agriculture, Forestry, Fisheries, Veterinary, Cooperation and Banking, Climate Change and Environmental Sciences, and BTech (Biotechnology) are also covered under this second allotment.

Earlier, the authorities issued a notification saying that the result of the second allotment would be published on October 6, and students receiving seats could join the institutions by 5 pm on October 12.

However, there was a delay of four days, and the list was released only at 4 pm on October 10. Making things more difficult, the deadline for joining was not postponed. The students have now demanded that the time to join the allotted colleges also be extended by four days.
