Director Jeethu Joseph who kept the box offices ringing with with his blockbuster Drishyam in all south Indian industries says he was not happy with the casting of the movie's Hindi remake. In fact, the filmmaker turned down the offer to direct the Hindi remake.
“Yes I was offered to direct Drishyam Hindi remake too. But since I was not happy with its casting, I refused to take up the project. On top of it, I was busy with my next project too,” said Jeethu.
He further added, “It is indeed a big thing to choose the right person for the right roles. As far as Malayalam and Tamil Drishyam is concerned we got the best from both industries. Even Kannada and Telugu saw the apt casts, Bit it wasn’t same for Hindi version. Most of those who watched the Hindi Drishyam were also of the view that casting was not perfect and it would have help the film more.”
