Actor-producer duo Vijay Babu and Sandra Thomas have been in news for the past few days for all the wrong reasons and now, a young Malayalam director has pointed fingers at the Friday Film House owners.
John Varghese, director of Adi Kapyare Kootamani, has accused Sandra Thomas and Vijay Babu of delaying the Tamil remake of the 2015 hit.
John recently told a daily that he had initially planned to make Adi Kapyare Kootamani in Tamil. But it was Friday Film House which came forward promising John that it would bankroll the project in Malayalam. When John discussed remaking the film in Tamil with Vijay Babu, the latter agreed to it, looking at the positive response the movie got in Malayalam. However, after the release of the film, Vijay secured the full remake rights of the film cheating John, the director said.
John Varghese has also blamed Friday Film House for paying him little for the movie.
Guess we will have to wait for a while to see what the production company has to say to this allegations as Vijay Babu and Sandra Thomas are now caught up in their spat that even led to an assault case.
