kpac-movie Master Rudraksh with Kunchacko Boban in the movie

Master Rudraksh is enjoying every bit of his new-found stardom as his character Ayyappa Coelho' in the movie Kochavva Paulo Ayyappa Coelho has become a hit among the audience. Master Rudraksh, who is the son of actor Sudheesh, made his debut on the silver screen with the Sidharth Siva movie.

''The only stage experience I had before entering Mollywood was the dance and drama performances in school,'' said Rudraksh, who is a class V student at the Sliver Hills School, Kozhikode. Director Sidharth Siva, who is a friend of actor Sudheesh, approached him with the story of a child whose greatest desire is to travel by a plane. Rudraksh was overjoyed when Siva selected him for the role.

Facing the camera for the first time, Rudraksh had little to worry about. Acting was a cakewalk for him, thanks to the immense support he got from the team that included Kunchacko Boban, who played the role of Kochavva Paulo in the movie.

“My friends and teachers were also really supportive. I could attend only a few classes during the first term due to the shooting schedules. But they helped me collect all the notes and study,” he said.

“I didn't feel very alien in the set as my father was also part of the cast. After the release, so many calls came from all over Kerala. It was really surprising,” Rudraksh added.

The film hit theaters last Friday and has been receiving positive reviews. Along with Kunchacko Boban and Rudraksh, the film also features Anusree, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Biju Menon, Mukesh, Nedumudi Venu, Aju Varghese and KPAC Lalitha.
