Udaya Studio is back, first movie by Sidharth Siva

Alappuzha: After an epochal lull of 30-odd years, Udaya Studios, the oldest film studio in Malayalam film industry, is all set to get a fresh lease of life.

A movie titled Kochanavva Paulo Ayyappa Coelho under the banner of Udaya pictures will be produced by Kunchacko Boban. Actor-director Sidharth Siva has penned the script and will be wielding the megaphone. Udaya Studio, the premier production house in the early days, was owned by Kunchacko, grandfather of Kunchacko Boban.

Addressing a press meet in Kochi, Kunchacko Boban said that the shooting of the movie will begin from March 14 at Adimaly. The film will have Kunchacko Boban in the lead along with Nedumudy Venu and KPAC Lalitha.

The movie Kochanavva Paulo Ayyappa Coelho revolves around an ordinary person, whose circumstances cast an effect on his village.

"I have been planning to revive Udaya Studios for quite sometime now but had been waiting for a right script. After the project with Sidharth, we will also be associating with Lal Jose and Anwar Rasheed," said Kunchacko Boban.
