Adding one more chapter to the history of Malayalam cinema, the fifth part of the Mammotty-starrer CBI series will soon hit the screens.
Mammotty will yet again don the character of CBI officer Sethurama Iyer in the movie, shooting for which will begin in April, scriptwriter S.N. Swami told Onmanorama.
However, the veteran writer refused to divulge the details of the plot.
"Viewers will not be able to guess the climax of the movie," he assured us, even while saying that the movie will not tread the conventional path.
He also rejected reports that the fifth part would be last in the series. " The next movie may or may not happen," he said, keeping his options wide open. The first movie in the series, Oru CBI Diarykkurippu, hit the screens in 1988.
The film will also have popular actors from Mollywood including Saikumar and Renji Panicker, though he rejected reports of Suresh Gopi being in the movie. Women too will have a concrete roles in the movie, but who will essay them is yet to be decided.
The makers even plan to keep the same background score, that has been the soul of the series in the previous outings.
